How do I use Street View? Try it out by clicking "Street View" in the top-right corner of the map. Once you zoom in, you can drag and drop the human icon anywhere along a road outlined in blue, or simply click on one of these roads, to view the imagery. Currently we provide street-level imagery for many cities, towns and remote parts of all 8 Australian States and Territories. We're working to expand our coverage to areas that are not presently covered. What are the benefits of Street View? Google Maps and Google Earth have proved incredibly popular with Australians and are used by Governments, businesses and individuals as essential and informative tools. Street View provides an added experience by enabling users to see a location as you would if you were standing on the street. There are huge benefits from the Street View feature, ranging from the promotion of tourism, to helping Australians find local businesses or meeting points, assisting property buyers and prospective tenants. Can I submit pictures for inclusion? Street View imagery is gathered by vehicles equipped with advanced imaging technology, driving on public roads. At this time, we're not accepting photo submissions for inclusion in Street View. Is Street View violating my privacy? While the Street View feature enables people to easily find, discover, and plan activities relevant to a location, we take our users' privacy very seriously. Street View only contains imagery from public roads, which is no different than what you might see driving down the street. Imagery of this kind is available in a wide variety of formats for cities in Australia and all around the world. Street View does not identify the owner or occupier of a house. Google also uses face blurring technology to protect Australians' privacy. We respect the fact that people may not want imagery they feel is inappropriate featured on the service. We provide easily accessible tools for flagging inappropriate or sensitive imagery for blurring or removal. How can I report a Street View image?
