Pretty even in winter By A Google User - 31 Dec 2009| Admission was free for us who visited on a winter weekday. It's true it was really cold but we were dressed for the weather (thermal underwear, T-shirt, fleece, jacket, hat and gloves, etc.). The garden was pretty even in late December. There was a blue heron on a frozen pond in Japanese garden who was trying to catch a fish through a crack on the ice. My 9 yo son was very excited to see him up close. It's a very enjoyable stroll across the garden. You can get hot chocolate and food at the conservatory (hot house). Bonsai collection there was very interesting, too. People at Visitor Center were helpful. |

By A TripAdvisor Member - 19 Apr 2009| I enjoyed myself at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden ... but I expected more from it. Perhaps it was from the many glossy pictures that I've seen in magazines, or the segments from Martha Stewart, and P. Allen Smith. I just expected my socks ... |
